Campaign For A New Skate Park in Warwick

As part of the first Warwick Rocks Food and Film Festival in 2013 we launched a short film competition, inviting budding filmmakers and professionals alike to submit their 5 minute short film with the theme of ‘Warwick Rocks’. We had a number of unique and exciting entries showcasing the talent on offer in Warwick, all of which can be found here. The winners were Linda Scannell and Julian Mellor with their documentary ‘Warwick’s Forgotten Sporting Hero: The Story of Jack Burns’. But one film that captured the judge’s eyes and hearts was a little campaign film by a young man called Tom Horton. Tom and his friends are avid skating and scooter enthusiasts and they used the competition to bring attention to the need for new skate park facilities in Warwick.
